A quarter century of grain, grit and grace.
Founded in 1998 in Tahunan — the heart of Jepara's centuries-old carving tradition — Jati Wangsa began as a single open-air workshop and four master carvers. Today we operate a 14,000 m² facility, yet every piece still passes through human hands before it leaves our gates.
We work exclusively in legally harvested, plantation-grown Grade-A Jati (teak), kiln-dried to a stable 8–10% moisture and aged before the first cut. The result is furniture engineered to outlive its first owner — and to mellow, beautifully, in the light of every room it occupies.

Selection
We grade and reject by hand. Only stable, even-grained Grade-A teak heartwood earns a place on the bench.

Joinery
Mortise-and-tenon and dovetails, cut for a lifetime of use. Mechanical fixings are the exception, never the rule.

Carving & Finish
Hand-sanded through twelve grits, then nourished with natural oil and wax to reveal the grain's quiet depth.

Quality & Export
Each piece is inspected, fumigation-certified and crated to survive the longest sea freight intact.
